Each of our unique stepping stones and wall plaques is handmade and designed by an artist in our studio. A small batch of high-strength concrete is mixed, into which natural stones, amethyst, wood, horseshoes or seashells are set. The inlaid stones are natural colored, not painted, and are hand-selected from sites across the United States. The materials we choose vary in color, composition, marbling, texture and shape, so each piece is distinctively different. After the small stones are individually placed, and while the concrete is still wet, printing and/or drawing is etched by hand onto the surface. Thus, each handcrafted work of art has a color combination and character all its own. |
